Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy EHS StayBent equipment?

Directly from this website, and from our authorized dealers. Use the dealer network page to find your nearest. A dealer can fit boots, mount blades and set them up for you, which is worth doing for a first setup or when changing discipline.

Will your equipment make me faster?

Our equipment is designed to let you use the technique you already have more efficiently — better feedback from the ice, a more consistent platform, and blades that hold an edge. How much difference that makes depends on your fitness, your technique and how well the equipment suits you. Skaters who are ready for a stiffer or more responsive blade usually notice it; skaters who are not can be slowed by it. If you are not sure which model suits you, ask us or a dealer before you buy.

Which blade should I choose?

For long track, the range runs from the Chrome models for recreational skating, through the Synergy and Xplorer, to the Superior, Alba and Cosmic for competitive skaters. Stiffness and steering are the deciding factors: the Superior is the most forgiving of the three top models, the Cosmic the stiffest and most direct, and the Alba sits between them. For short track, the X-series and the ACS/QCS/JaeBee pre-bend models cover the range from maximum hold to maximum flex and feel.

Tell us your discipline, level, weight and current setup at info@ehs-staybent.com and we will make a recommendation.

Do you ship to my country?

We ship worldwide, with a few exceptions: we cannot ship to Russia or Belarus or to sanctioned destinations, and orders to Korea and China may be routed to our distributor there.

How much is shipping?

One flat rate per order, by zone — and free on orders of €300 or more, everywhere we ship. The rate for your address is shown at checkout.

Will I have to pay import duty or VAT?

Inside the EU, no — VAT at your own country's rate is already in the price you see. Outside the EU, yes: we ship DAP, so your country's import VAT, duty and the carrier's clearance fee are collected from you by the carrier. We cannot tell you the amount in advance.

Why is there a minimum order for the United Kingdom?

Because of how UK import VAT works. For consignments of £135 or less, an overseas seller must be registered for UK VAT and charge it at checkout; EHS StayBent is not. Above that value, import VAT is collected at the border in the normal way. The €160 minimum keeps every UK order on the right side of that line. Below it, buy from a UK dealer.

Why can't I order some products to a Dutch address?

Long track boots, long track blades, long track jigs and all spare parts are supplied in the Netherlands through authorized dealers only, because they need fitting and setup. Everything else can be ordered directly. Find your dealer on the dealer network page. If you place an order for one of these items to a Dutch address, we will contact you and put you in touch with your dealer.

Can I collect my order?

No. Every order is shipped. Our address in Heemskerk is a workshop and warehouse, not a shop; visits are by appointment.

Can I return something?

EU consumers have 14 days from delivery to change their mind. Blades that have been mounted, sharpened, bent or skated on, boots that have been heat-moulded or skated in, and anything made to your specification cannot be returned. Details in the refund policy.

How do I become a dealer?

Write to info@ehs-staybent.com and tell us about your shop: where you are, what you stock and which disciplines your customers skate. We set dealer accounts up personally. There is no online application form.
