About Us
EHS StayBent designs and builds speed skating blades, boots, hardware and workshop tools in Heemskerk, the Netherlands.
We run our own CNC machine shop, so the distance between an idea, a prototype and a product a skater can buy is short — and everything we sell has been through it.
Design
Our products are designed and manufactured in-house by our own engineers and specialists. We have been skaters ourselves, and we stay in contact with athletes, coaches and technicians. Designs move to production only after extensive testing, including by skaters at the top of the sport.
Research and development
Because the machine shop is ours, we can question the standard way of doing things and then make the alternative the same week. There is no contract manufacturer in the middle and no minimum order to justify a change. When you buy an EHS StayBent product, you are buying it from the people who made it.
Knowledge and expertise
EHS is built on decades of experience gained by Edward Hagen as an elite athlete, designer and craftsman.
What we make
- Long track — clap blades from the recreational EHS Stainless-steel range up to the Superior, Alba and Cosmic, and the boots that go with them.
- Short track — the X-series and pre-bend blade models, cups, mounting hardware, protection and apparel.
- Tools — sharpening jigs, benders, gauges and diamond stones, used by skaters and by professional blade technicians.
- Technicords — resistance training cords for skating-specific dryland work.
How to buy
You can order directly from this website, and we ship worldwide. We also work with a network of authorized dealers who stock our products, fit boots and set up blades in person. Some products are supplied through dealers only in the Netherlands, because they need fitting.
